We left Ascension island heading to French Guyana. 3 weeks of sailing was in front of us including the doldrums... this area around equator bothering sailors since ages, as one can face days of dead calms only interrupted by heavy storms
It took us a week to go through, and reach nice winds that carried us to Guyana.
