Mayotte (October 2013)Visitors in the Mozambique channel |  | | The wind was very light, we were reading in the cockpit some 30 miles away from Madagascar's coast, when suddenly we thought we heard some voices... Coming from nowhere, four basic wooden pirogues were surrounding Le Maméju. The fishermen were diving for sea cucumbers, and asked us for cigarettes, bread or just any food. We gave them some cookies and they paddeled away and vanished as quietly as they had appeared... |
