Saint Helena (April 2014)Overlook of Jamestown |  | The main town of the island is nested in a deep valley facing a wild open bay where the mooring is unprotected from the rolling swell of the Ocean. Le Maméju was not giving us much rest.
On the picture we can see a very steep staircase of 699 steps called "Jacob's ladder". The first day on land, we took up the challenge to climb the ladder. As a first walk after a long sailing, our calves remenbered it the following day! |
