In Fiji we could feel that we were in a more independent country with its own production industry. The population is 50% Indian and 50% Polynesian which makes and interesting mix. Our first stop was the town of Savu Savu where we immediately fell in love with the lively vibe and the cheap and oh so tasty Indian and Polynesian food from the local snack restaurants.
